Helping you navigate food and body shame so you can feel comfortable in your body and your life.

You’ve been trying to control your diet and your body for as long as you can remember. The endless diet promises and subsequent feelings of failure have left you feeling defeated and unsatisfied. Through a process of changing your relationship with food and reconnecting to the wisdom of your body you begin to make lifestyle choices out of self-love rather than out of self-loathing.

MY APPROACH

Hello, I’m Kira.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, registered dietitian nutritionist, certified yoga therapist and ayurvedic health counselor and I specialize in working with women who have been taught they can’t trust their body. Through learning intuitive eating, body trust, and mind-body connection, I’ll help you develop a neutral relationship with food, a loving relationship with your body, and overall self-acceptance.

We start by reconnecting with the sensations of your body. From this space we can begin to understand how different foods make you feel and learn how to tune into your body’s innate wisdom. Through an understanding of what drives us to make our lifestyle choices, we move away from using food to meet our emotional needs. This process allows our body, not our culture, to dictate what, when, and how much it needs to feel satisfied.
